  1. 1 lb. fresh sauerkraut (in bag), rinsed and well drained

  2. 1 onion, diced

  3. 1 can (14 1/2 ounces) canned Italian styled stewed tomatoes

  4. 1/2 cup dark brown sugar, packed

  5. 3 lbs. country style pork ribs cut in to individual sections

  6. sprinkle of celery seed

  1. In a slow cooker, layer all ingredients, beginning with sauerkraut and endingwith pork ribs, bone-side up. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hrs.
