  1. 2 pkg. dry yeast

  2. 1 c. warm water

  3. 2 c. buttermilk

  4. 3/4 c. cooking oil or melted shortening

  5. 1/4 c. sugar

  6. 4 tsp. baking powder

  7. 1/4 tsp. baking soda

  8. 1 1/2 tsp. salt

  9. 7 c. all purpose flour (enough to make soft dough)

  1. Combine yeast and water. Stir until yeast is dissolved. Add remaining ingredients, except flour. Mix on floured board and knead lightly until dough is not sticky. Place in greased baking bag.

  2. Keep in refrigerator, use as needed. Will keep a couple of weeks. Grease top of biscuit before baking if you wish.
