  1. 5 Bacon slices

  2. 8 oz Sliced Italian sausage links

  3. 2 Medium Onions

  4. 1 Small Green Pepper

  5. 1 1/2 lb Diced Beef Chuck Steak

  6. 1 Garlic Clove, minced

  7. 2 Dried Red Chili Peppers

  8. 2 Jalapeno Peppers

  9. 1 1/2 tb Chili Powder

  10. 1/2 ts Dried Oregano, crushed

  11. 1 12-oz can Tomato Paste

  12. 1 16-oz can Pinto Beans

  13. 1 16-oz can Garbanzo Beans

  1. Seed and crumble Red Chili Peppers.

  2. Seed and chop Jalapeno Peppers.

  3. Drain Pinto beans and Garbanzo beans.

  4. In a large saucepan or Dutch oven cook bacon till crisp; drain and crumble.

  5. Brown sausage in the same saucepan.

  6. Drain sausage, reserving 2 tablespoons drippings; set sausage aside.

  7. Chop onions and green pepper.

  8. In reserved drippings cook chopped onion, chopped green pepper, diced beef, and minced garlic till meat is brown.

  9. Add crumbled bacon, cooked sliced sausage, dried red chili peppers, jalapeno peppers, chili powder, dried oregano, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.

  10. Stir in tomato paste and 2 1/2 cups water.

  11. Bring to boiling; reduce heat.

  12. Simmer, covered, 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.

  13. Stir in Pinto beans and garbanzo beans; simmer, covered, 30 minutes more.
