  7. 1/2 cup macaroni

  8. 2 egg yoks, beaten

  9. 1 1/3 cups milk

  10. 1 Tablespoon butter

  11. 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard

  12. 2 teaspoons instant minced onion

  13. 1/4 teaspoon salt

  14. dash pepper

  15. 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar or American cheese

  16. 2 cups soft bread crumbs

  17. 2 egg whites -- stiffly beaten

  18. 8 ounces frankfurters or smoky links -- bias-sliced

  19. Cook maccaroni in boiling salted water about 10 minutes or until tender;

  20. drain. In saucepan, combine egg yolks, milk, butter, mustard, onion, salt

  21. and pepper. Add cheese. Cook and stir over medium heat about 10 minutes, or until mixture thickens slightly (do not boil). Stir in macaroni and bread

  22. crumbs. Fold in egg whites. Pour half the mixture into a 1 1/2 quart

  23. souffle dish. Place franks in casserole, reserving a few sliced franks for the top. Pour on remaining macaroni mixtue. Arrange reserved franks on top.

  24. 350 for 45 minutes. Garnish with parsley, if desired. Serve at
