  2. 1 head red cabbage, washed, shredded

  3. 8 Frankfurter sausages

  1. Boil the cabbage in salted water for about 30 minutes.

  2. Drain off water.

  3. Put cabbage back in the kettle, place Frankfurters on top, cover and put on the fire for about 5 to 8 minutes.

  4. The steam produced by the water remaining in the cabbage will be sufficient to cook the sausages.

  5. Then serve.
