  1. 1 teaspoon Garam masala

  2. 1 teaspoon Ground coriander

  3. 1 1/2 pounds Cubed lamb or beef or pork or chicken

  4. 2 tablespoons Ghee or vegetable oil

  5. 1 medium Onion

  6. 2 mediums Tomatoes

  7. 1/2 teaspoon Chili powder

  8. 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric

  9. 2 Cloves garlic

  10. 1 tablespoon Vinegar

  11. 2 ounces Coconut; creamed or dessicated equiv

  12. Salt to taste

  1. SPICE MIX OTHER INGREDIENTS Bhoonas are dry curries with a rich, creamy coconut sauce.

  2. Heat oil or ghee. Fry meat for 5 to 10 minutes.

  3. Blend the onion, garlic, tomatoes and vinegar.

  4. Stir-fry the blend, spice mixture and coconut for 5 minutes.

  5. Combine the meat and the fried blend. Simmer until the meat is tender (or cook in 375F oven). The dish should be quite dry with a little bit of gravy.
