  8. 2 cups Sugar

  9. 1/2 cup Water

  10. 1 teaspoon Lemon juice

  11. 4 Egg whites

  12. 1 teaspoon Vanilla

  13. 1 cup 10x sugar

  14. Boil sugar, water, and lemon juice together to make a thick syrup, but do not

  15. let it carmelize. Remove from heat and keep hot. Beat egg whites until stiff,

  16. and add hot syrup slowly to them, beating constantly.

  17. Fold in the confectioner's sugar and vanilla, blending well. Butter and lightly

  18. flour a piece of waxed paper and place on baking sheet. Drop batter ty

  19. tesapoons or force thru cookie press onto sheet and bake in preheated 350 F.

  20. 20 to 25 min. Remove from ove, cool and place on a platter.

  21. NOTE: These may be made into sandwich cookie by putting marmalade or butter
