  1. 1 1/2 c Flour

  2. 1 c Brown sugar, packed

  3. 1 ts Salt

  4. 2 c Quick-cooking oatmeal

  5. 1 c Butter

  6. 1 1/2 c Seedless raspberry jam,*

  7. 1/2 c Chopped pecans

  2. They should be cooled before cutting.

  3. This is such an easy recipe-but it tastes like you spent hours preparing it.

  4. It's great for brunch and coffee klatches! Preheat oven to 375.

  5. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt and oatmeal.

  6. Cut in all but two tablespoons butter.

  7. Press 1/2 of flour mixture evenly into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.

  8. Spread jam over batter in pan, then top with remaining flour mixture.

  9. Dot with two tablespoons butter and with chopped pecans.

  10. Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes.

  11. Let cool completely, then cut into rectangles.

  12. Variation: Use other types of jam, such as apricot.

  13. Yield: 2 4.
