  5. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Lean boneless beef round - cut into 1" pieces

  6. 1 tablespoon 15ml Paprika

  7. 1 teaspoon 5ml Caraway seeds

  8. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Freshly-ground black pepper

  9. 3 teaspoons 15ml All-purpose potatoes - peeled and cubed (small)

  10. 2 Carrots - diced

  11. 1 Tomato - chopped

  12. 1 teaspoon 5ml Dried marjoram

  1. Recipe Instructions In a large nonstick saucepan or Dutch oven, heat the oil. Add the onions and garlic; cook, stirring as needed, until the onions are softened, about 5 minutes. Add the broth, beef, paprika, caraway seeds and pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer, covered, stirring as needed, until the beef is almost tender, about 45 minutes. Increase the heat and stir in the potatoes and carrots; return to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer, covered, stirring as needed, until the vegetables are tender and the beef is cooked through, about 20 minutes. Add the tomato and marjoram; cook until the tomato is heated through, about 3 minutes. This recipe yields 4 servings.
