  1. 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef

  2. 1 cup chopped onion

  3. 2 stalks celery, finely chopped

  4. 1 (2 pound) package frozen mixed vegetables

  5. 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed tomato soup

  6. 1 tablespoon dried basil

  7. 1 tablespoon dried parsley

  8. 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  9. 1 bay leaf

  10. salt and pepper to taste

  11. 1 (16 ounce) can crushed tomatoes

  12. 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce

  13. 9 3/4 cups water

  1. Using a large stock pot, brown your meat (breaking into small pieces as it cooks). Once meat is browned, add onions and celery, sauteing until soft.

  2. Add frozen vegetables, tomato soup, basil, parsley, oregano, bay leaves, salt and pepper, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce and water. Simmer for one hour and then serve. Remove bay leaves before serving.
