  1. 8cups leaf or bib lettuce

  2. 5 slices bacon

  3. 1 egg

  4. 3Tbs. sugar

  5. 1/4 cup vinegar

  6. 1/8 tsp. salt

  1. In a large skillet friy bacon to crisp, place on paper plate to drain. In the same skillet with the bacon grease add sugar,vinegar and salt. (Be careful of hot grease) when sugar is melted add egg into the skillet and stir until egg is cooked. In a large glass bowl place lettuce, crumble bacon on top then add the hot vinegrette. Yield: serves 6 Notes: This make a great meal when served with pork chops and fried potatoes,and cupcakes. In our home its a spring family tradition.
