  1. 1 cup 93g / 3 1/3oz Ground blanched almonds

  2. 1/2 cup 99g / 3 1/2oz Sugar

  3. 1/2 cup 46g / 1.6oz Minced candied orange peel

  4. 1 cup 62g / 2 1/5oz All-purpose flour - sifted

  5. 6 tablespoons 90ml Milk - (6 to 8)

  6. 1/2 cup 55g / 1.9oz Semi-sweet chocolate pieces - melted

  1. Recipe Instructions Put the ground almonds in a bowl with the sugar, orange peel and all but 1 tbsp of the flour. Mix well, then stir in enough milk to give a smooth, firm dough. Roll into small balls and place, well apart, on a baking sheet lined with greased wax paper. Sprinkle with the remaining flour, and bake in a preheated moderate oven 350F, for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Transfer to a wire rack to cool. When cold, sandwich the cookies together in pairs with the melted chocolate. Chill in the fridge for1 hour before serving.
