  2. 3 2 cups cooked brown rice (not instant)

  3. 1/4 tsp salt

  4. 2 cups milk

  5. 1 egg

  6. 3 tbsp dark brown sugar

  7. 1/4 cup raisins

  8. 1 1/2 tsp vanilla

  1. Description: A healthier version of the original! STEP 1: Melt the butter in a sauce pan over medium heat. STEP 2: Add the rice and salt and mix well. STEP 3: Meanwhile in a separate bowl add the milk, egg, brown sugar and raisins. Whisk together until well combined. STEP 4: Add the milk mixture to the rice and cook over medium heat until thickened, about 10 minutes. STEP 5: Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla. STEP 6: Serve warm if desired or chill at least 2 hours.
