  5. 1 pk Fudge brownie mix with

  6. -chocolate

  7. Syrup

  8. 21 1/3-oz

  9. 2 Eggs

  10. 1/4 c Shortening

  11. 1 c Pecans; chopped

  12. 1 Jars Maraschino cherries

  13. 10-oz

  14. 12/2/96 Preheat oven to

  15. 375 degrees.

  16. Blend brownie mix with chocolate-flavor syrup (supplied with boxed mix),

  17. eggs and shortening. Dough will be stiff. Mix until well blended. Stir in

  18. pecans and cherries.

  19. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

  20. Bake 8 minutes. Remove cookies from oven while still soft and underbaked.

  21. 2 to 3 minutes before removing from cookie sheets.

  22. 4 1/2 to 5 dozen cookies.

  23. Tester's note: We tested this recipe with Betty Crocker Supreme Dark

  24. Chocolate Premium Brownie Mix. When mixing the ingredients, you may think

  25. there is too little moisture in the recipe. But keep stirring and the

  26. ingredients will blend well.
