  2. 1/4 cup salt

  3. 2 tablespoons cayenne pepper

  4. 2 tablespoons paprika

  5. 1 1/2 tablespoons onion powder

  6. 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper

  7. 1 tablespoon freshly ground white pepper

  8. 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  9. 2 teaspoons dried basil

  10. 1 teaspoon chili powder

  11. 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme

  12. 1/4 teaspoon ground mustard

  13. 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small jar. (The spice mix can be stored in a tightly covered glass jar in a cool dry place out of direct light for up to 4 months.) Makes about 3/4 cup.
