  1. CABBAGE AU GRATIN

  2. 4 cups. coarsely shredded cabbage

  3. 16 oz can tomatoes, undrained

  4. 2 tsp. sugar

  5. 1 tsp. salt

  6. 1 tsp. oregano

  7. salt and pepper to taste

  8. 1/2 cp. grated cheddar cheese

  9. 1 cp. bread crumbs, finely ground

  10. Cook cabbage in boiling water, til wilted -- about 5-6 minutes.

  11. Drain well.

  12. Combine tomatoes, sugar and oregano, gently break up tomatoes.

  13. In a greased (I use non-stick spray) baking dish, place cabbage

  14. sprinkled with salt and pepper, covered with tomatoe mixture, then

  15. cheese, then crumbs.

  16. 30 minutes in a

  17. 350 degree oven, or till heated

  18. thoroughly.

  19. Serves 4-6.
