  1. 1 cup butter

  2. 1 1/4 cup sugar

  3. 2 beaten egg s

  4. 1 cup sour cream

  5. 1 tsp. vanilla

  6. 2 cups sifter flour

  7. 1 tsp. baking powder

  8. 1/2 tsp. baking soda salt Topping:

  9. 1 cup packed brown sugar

  10. 1/2 cup chopped nut s

  11. 1/2 cup flour

  12. 1/2 stick butter Pulse briefly in a food processor and set aside.

  1. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, sour cream and vanilla. Sift all dry ingredients together and add gradually to creamed mixture. Place ½ of batter into a greased springform pan and sprinkle ½ of the above brown sugar topping in center of cake. Put rest of the batter on the pan and top with rest of the brown sugar mixture.
