  1. 1 lb Cubed stew beef

  2. 1/2 c Suet

  3. 20 Green tomatoes, cored

  4. 18 Tart apples,peeled

  5. 1/2 lb Raisins

  6. 3 tb Cinnamon

  7. 3/4 c Any sweet fruit juice

  8. 3/4 c Minced citron

  9. 6 tb Orange rind

  10. 3 ts Salt

  11. 1 tb Cloves

  12. 1 

  13. 1/2 ts Allspice

  14. 1 ts Ginger

  15. 1 c Beef stock

  16. Brandy,if desired

  17. 1/2 To 

  18. 1 t nutmeg

  1. Cover meat with water and simmer until tender.Force meat,suet, tomatoes and apples through coarse food chopper.Add remaining ingredients(except brandy) and simmer 1 hour,stirring frequently. Fill 3 hot,sterilized 1 quart jars.Place 2 tbsp. brandy on top, if desired.Seal.Store in cool place. —–
