  1. 1 kg chicken, cut in pieces

  2. Salt and black pepper to taste

  3. Flour for coating

  4. Oil for frying

  5. 4 cloves, pounded

  6. A: Finely chopped

  7. 1 medium onion

  8. 1 medium tomato

  9. 125g tomato sauce

  10. 500ml water

  11. 1 small bay leaf

  12. 2 tsp dried oregano

  13. 1 green pepper, diced

  14. 1 cm

  15. 80g peas

  16. 1 tbsp cornflour mixed with

  17. 3 tbsp cold water

  1. Dust chicken pieces in flour, salt and black pepper. Brown quickly in hot oil till half-cooked. Remove.

  2. Heat oil. Saute garlic, onions, tomatoes and tomato sauce in a separate pot till fragrant. Add water and let it boil.

  3. Add browned chicken, bay lead, oregano and green pepper. Simmer for 30 minutes or till the chicken is tender.

  4. Add salt and black pepper to taste. To thicken gravy, add cornflour mixture.

  5. Add peas. Cook for another 3 minutes.
