  7. 6 ounces Tomato paste

  8. 1 quart Tomato catsup

  9. 3 ounces Mustard

  10. 4 tablespoons Chili powder

  11. 4 tablespoons Barbecue powder; mesquite

  12. 2 tablespoons Liquid smoke

  13. 4 ounces Butter

  14. 6 ounces Sugar

  15. 4 ounces Cane syrup

  16. 1 tablespoon Crushed red pepper

  17. 1 teaspoon Hot sauce

  18. 2 ounces Vinegar

  19. 1 tablespoon Salt

  20. 1 teaspoon Pepper

  1. Kathy Starr, Soul of Southern Cooking makes 1 gallon Combine first 6 ingredients and boil 25 min. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 2½ hr or until thick.
