  1. 6 cups chicken , cut up

  2. 4 cups broth

  3. 6 cups rice (3 white and 3 wild)

  4. 4 tbs. better or fat from chicken

  5. 3/4 cup flour

  6. 1 tbs. salt

  7. 3 cups milk

  8. 1/2 tsp. pepper

  9. 1 green pepper

  10. 1 lg. onion

  11. 1 sm. can pimiento

  12. 1/2 tsp. thyme

  13. 2 cans mushroom s

  14. 1 8 oz. pkg. slivered almond s

  15. 1 cup parsley

  1. Pour 1½ cups broth over cooked rice. Make rich gravy by adding milk to remaining broth and thicken it with butter and flour. Add salt, pepper, and thyme. Butter large casserole. Cover bottom with rice, mixed with broth. Place chicken over rice and add gravy. Dot with almonds, green pepper, pimiento, onions and mushrooms. Repeat. I just sprinkle top with fresh parsley. Bake 1 hour at 350.
