  1. 1/2 lb Ham; finely diced

  2. 2 tb Onion; finely chopped

  3. pn Nutmeg

  4. 1 tb Vegetable oil

  5. 1 Basic burger recipe

  6. 1/4 lb Swiss cheese; thinly sliced

  7. 3 tb Mustard (optl)

  1. In a small skillet, cook the ham with the onion and nutmeg in the oil until the onion softens, about 1 minute.

  2. Prepare the burgers according to their recipe, adding the sauteed ham and onion to the meat mixture.

  3. Put 2 to 3 slices of cheese on each burger 1 minute before it is done cooking.

  4. Cook until the cheese melts.

  5. Spread interior of buns with mustard, if desired.
