  1. 6 ripe large Hass avocados, halved, pitted

  2. 4 green onions, light parts only, finely diced

  3. 1 jalapeno, seeded, finely diced

  4. 1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro

  5. 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice

  6. 1 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste cayenne to taste

  1. Scoop the avocados into a bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients and mash with a potato masher or fork as smooth or chunky as you like. Best if chilled for 30 minutes before serving.
