  7. 2 lb Beef round,thinly sliced

  8. 6 tb Salad oil

  9. 1/4 c Flour

  10. 1 Onion,medium,chopped

  11. 1 c Tomatoes,peeled/cubed

  12. 1 1/2 c Water

  13. 1 Bell pepper,green,chopped

  14. 1 Garlic clove,chopped

  15. 1 Bay leaf

  16. 1 tb Parsley,chopped

  17. 2 ts Salt

  18. 1 ts Tabasco sauce

  19. 1/2 ts Thyme

  20. 3 c Rice,hot cooked

  21. 3 c Hominy grits,hot cooked

  22. 1. In deep skillet, brown meat in drippings; remove meat.

  23. 2. Add flour and brown, stirring constantly.

  24. 3. Add onion and tomatoes; simmer a few minutes.

  25. 4. Add meat, water, bell pepper, garlic, bay leaf, parsley, salt, Tabasco

  26. 1 1/2 hours, or until meat is very tender
