  1. 3 Cups Flour

  2. 3 Tbl. Sugar

  3. 4 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder

  4. 1/2 tsp. Salt

  5. 3/4 tsp. Cream of Tarter

  6. 1/2 Cup of Butter

  1. Mix 1- 5 of the above ingredients and cut in butter.

  2. Add: 7) ¾ Cup of Currants or Blue Berries or Cranberries 8) 1½ tsp. Grated Orange Peel 9) 1¼ Cup Whipping Cream (not whipped)

  3. Mix with a wooden spoon, turn out on a board and knead for 2 minutes.

  4. Roll dough out to ½ “ thick and cut into shapes, large or small.

  5. Bake at 375°for 10 to 15 minutes.

  6. WATCH THEM and remove from the oven when they’re light brown.

  7. Serve with Creme fraiche and assorted jams.
