  1. 1 cup 237ml Semolina

  2. 1 1/2 cups 355ml Water

  3. 1 Carrot

  4. 2 Ripe tomatoes

  5. 3 Green chiles

  6. 1 teaspoon 5ml Dry Bengal gram dal

  7. 1 teaspoon 5ml Black mustard seeds

  8. 4 tablespoons 60ml Oil

  9. 1 section Curry leaves

  10. Salt - to taste

  1. Clean the semolina. Keep aside. Chop the tomatoes, carrot and green chiles.

  2. Pour oil in the frying pan. Fry the gram dal and mustard seeds until they pop. add vegetables and green chiles. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring all the while.

  3. Add water and salt. Add curry leaves.

  4. When the water comes to a boil, add semolina slowly, stirring simultaneously, to avoid lumps. Cook for 5 minutes. Stir.

  5. Serve with chutney.
