  1. 3 1/2 cups flour

  2. 1 tsp baking powder

  3. 1/4 tsp salt

  4. 2 stick butter , unsalted room temp

  5. 8 oz cream cheese , softened

  6. 3 cups sugar

  7. 1 tsp vanilla or almond

  8. 6 eggs , room temp

  9. 1 cup milk ( even skim ) room temp Icing:

  10. 4 oz cream cheese softened

  11. 2 Tbs unsalted butter , room temp

  12. 2 cups powdered sugar

  13. 3 tbs milk or cream

  1. How to make it Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar till fluffy and well mixed Sift flour and baking powder and salt Add eggs, one at a time to cream mixture Add vanilla and milk Slowly add flour to creamed mixture and combine well Divide into 2 greased and floured 9 inch loaf pans Bake 325 until tested done in center with wooden toothpick When cool, ice Cream butter and cream cheese. Add milk and powdered sugar to make a spreadable icing. Note: great also without icing . Use this as a base for your trifle, shortcakes, petit fours!!
