  1. 1 onion, sliced

  2. 1 to 1/2 cups cooked shrimp

  3. 2 stalks celery chopped 1-cup peas

  4. 1 Tbsp. shortening

  5. 1 cup tomatoes, chopped

  6. 1/2 cup water

  7. 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar

  8. 1-2 tsp. chili powder

  9. 1/2 tsp. sugar

  10. 1/2 Tbsp. flour

  11. 2 cups cooked rice

  1. Directions Place onions, celery, and shortening in pan and cook until tender. Add flour, chili pepper, salt and (slowly) water. Cook 15 minutes. Add tomatoes, peas, vinegar, sugar, and shrimp. Cook 10 minutes. Serve over hot rice.
