  10. Pinch of powdered mace

  11. Pinch of ground ginger

  12. 1/4 cup melted butter

  13. 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  14. 1 teaspoon pulverized sugar

  1. Mix pumpkin, egg, warm cream, yeast cake, melted butter, and flour.

  2. Add sweet milk to thin it to a thick batter.

  3. Allow it to rise until light, then beat down.

  4. Add a pinch of powdered mace and ground ginger and let it rise again for twenty minutes.

  5. Bake in heated waffle irons to a golden brown.

  6. Dip the hot waffles in melted butter and roll in equal parts of cinnamon and pulverized sugar. .
