  2. 800 g Sweet potatoes (cooked and mashed) Glutinous rice flour Custard powder Castor sugar Water (if necessary) Sesame seeds Oil, for deep-frying Bean paste/lotus seed paste (make into 40 small balls)

  1. : Mix mashed sweet potatoes, glutinous rice flour, custard powder, castor sugar and water (if necessary) together. Knead into a smooth dough. Divide into 40 pieces and make into balls. Wrap up 1 part of filling with 1 part of skin and form into the shape of dates. Dip in water and coat with sesame seeds. Heat up oil for deep-frying. Deep fried sesame dates on medium heat till golden brown. Dish and drain. Serve hot.
