  1. 1 Banana; under-ripe

  2. 1 teaspoon Butter

  3. 1 tablespoon Brown sugar

  4. 1 Pinches ground cinnamon; (up to 2)

  5. 1 tablespoon Rum; brandy, or sherry,

  1. Slice banana in half lengthwise and arrange in a shallow oval baking dish or gratin. Dot with butter, spinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. If desired, drizzle with rum, brandy, or sherry.

  2. Bake 8 minutes in a preheated 450 degree oven, or until sugar caramelizes and is bubbling. Cool enough to avoid burning your tongue, then eat.
