  3. 1/2c Packed brown sugar

  4. 3 tb Margarine or butter

  5. 1 cn (8-1/4 ounces) crushed

  6. Pineapple in syrup,

  7. undrained 1/2ts Salt

  1. + substitute: 1 can (23 ounces) sweet potatoes or Yams, drained and cut into Slices, for the fresh sweet Potatoes.

  2. Prepare and cook sweet potatoes as directed.

  3. Slip off skins.

  4. Cut into 1/2-inch slices.

  5. Heat remaining ingredients in 10-inch skillet over medium heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and bubbly.

  6. Add sweet potatoes.

  7. Stir gently until glazed and hot.

  8. SERVINGS; 355 CALORIES PER SERVING.

  9. Sweet potatoes and yams are both varieties of sweet potatoes, and the two can be used interchangeably.

  10. Yams, very popular in the South, have a deep orange color and are somewhat moister when cooked.
