  9. 0 1/20 ts Baking soda;

  10. 1.00 ts Salt;

  11. 1.00 ts Cinnamon;

  12. 0 1/4 ts Cloves;

  13. 0 1/4 ts Nutmeg;

  14. 1.00 c Unsweetened apple sauce;

  15. 0 1/20 c Raisins;

  16. 1.00 tb Grated orange rind;

  17. 0 1/20 c Unsweetened orange juice;

  18. 1.00 Egg;

  19. 1.00 tb Vegetable oil;

  20. If wheat germ is not available, use bran or whole

  21. wheat flour.

  22. Sift dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl.

  23. Stir in apple sauce, raisins and orange rind. Combine

  24. orange juice, egg and vegetable oil, add to batter,

  25. stirring just until moistened. Spoon into lightly

  26. oiled 8 inch square cake pan.
