  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Cut off top, remove stem, and peel skin off the upper quarter of each apple.

  3. Place apples in a baking dish along with one inch of water.

  4. Sprinkle apples with sugar, cinnamon, and any other desired spices.

  5. Bake for 30 minutes.
