  1. 1 1/4 cup (310ml) vanilla ice cream

  2. 4 bananas, peeled

  3. 3 tbsp (45ml) chopped nuts

  4. Chocolate Sauce

  5. 8 oz (225g) dark or semisweet baking chocolate

  6. 2 cups (500ml) water

  7. 1 tbsp (15ml) sugar

  8. few drops vanilla extract

  9. 1/4 cup (60ml) heavy cream

  10. 2 tsp (10ml) butter

  1. Method :

  2. Prepare chocolate sauce following instructions in Pears Helene recipe. Allow sauce to cool.

  3. Place 2 scoops ice cream in each of 4 sundae glasses. Place a banana on top and pour chocolate sauce over.

  4. Sprinkle each serving with chopped nuts and serve immediately.
