  1. 450g minced beef

  2. 90g fresh breadcrumbs

  3. 2 tablespoons tomato relish or ketchup

  4. 1 onion, finely chopped

  5. 1 egg salt and pepper to taste Filling:

  6. 1 egg

  7. 30g butter

  8. 1/2 onion, finely chopped

  9. 1 teaspoon dried sage

  10. 1 teaspoon chicken stock granules salt and pepper to taste Topping:

  11. 110g breadcrumbs

  1. Mix all the meatloaf ingredients together until well combined. Place half of this mixture into a greased and lined loaf tin.

  2. Mix all the filling ingredients together until well combined. Spread evenly over the mince.

  3. Top with the remaining mince and sprinkle over breadcrumbs.

  4. Bake at 180 C / Gas 4 for 1 1/4 hours or until meatloaf is cooked through and no longer pink. Serve hot or cold.
