  1. 6 Tbsp. butter

  2. 6 Tbsp. flour

  3. 1 tsp. salt

  4. 1/8 tsp. pepper

  5. 2 1/2 cup milk

  6. 1 lb. crab meat

  7. 6 hard-cooked eggs, chopped

  8. 1 cup slivered almonds

  9. Buttered bread crumbs

  1. M elt butter in saucepan. Add flour, salt and pepper; stir to make a smooth paste. Stir in milk;

  2. cook until smooth and thick, stirring constantly.

  3. Remove from heat.

  4. Stir in crab, eggs and almonds; spread in buttered 8-inch square pan. Cover generously with buttered bread crumbs.

  5. Bake in 375-degree oven for 20 minutes or until heated through. Do not let salad boil.

  6. Salad may be prepared ahead and refrigerated until ready to bake.

  7. Makes 6-8 servings.
