  1. 1 large peach, peeled, pitted, and coarsely chopped, or 1 cup frozen peach slices, thawed and coarsely chopped

  2. 1/2 cup Southern comfort or bourbon

  3. 4 cups water

  4. 1 2-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced

  5. 2 Tbsp. packed brown sugar

  6. 1 32-oz. jar peach nectar, chilled

  7. 1 12-oz. can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed

  8. 1 1-liter bottle ginger ale, chilled

  1. In a small bowl toss peaches with 2 tablespoons of the Southern comfort; divide peaches among two ice cube trays. Fill trays with water; cover and freeze overnight. In a medium saucepan combine 4 cups water, ginger, and brown sugar. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Remove from heat; let stand for 30 minutes. Strain and discard ginger. Cover and chill syrup. Just before serving, in a large punch bowl combine syrup, peach nectar, lemonade concentrate, remaining Southern Comfort, and ginger ale. Serve over prepared ice cubes.
