  1. 3/4 lb. green beans

  2. 8 slices bacon

  3. 2 medium potatoes , pared and cut into 1/2 in. pieces

  4. 1 small onion , sliced

  5. 1/4 cup water

  6. 1/2 tsp salt

  1. Cook green beans in a small am't of boiling , salted water 10 to 15 min. or until just tender.

  2. Dice the bacon and fry until crisp. Add green beans and remaining ingredients to bacon and cook, covered, about 15 min. or until potatoes are tender.
