  1. 2 lb Chicken parts

  2. 8 oz Pineapple chunks

  3. 1 c Chicken broth

  4. 2 T Shortening

  5. 2 T Brown sugar

  6. 1/4 c Vinegar

  7. 2 t Soy sauce

  8. 1 ea Large onion

  9. 1 ea Med. green pepper

  10. 3 T Cornstarch

  11. 1/4 c Water

  1. Drain pineapple, reserving syrup.

  2. In skillet brown chicken in shortening.

  3. Pour off fat.

  4. Add reserved syrup, broth, brown sugar, vinegar, soy sauce and garlic.

  5. Cover and cook over low heat 40 minutes.

  6. Add green pepper and pineapple cook 5 minutes.

  7. Combine cornstarch and water gradually stir into sauce.
