  1. 2 pounds sausage (hot or mild)

  2. 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  3. 1 can cream of chicken soup

  4. 1 cup sour cream

  5. 8 oz. French onion dip

  6. 1 cup chopped onion or green onions

  7. 1/4 cup each green and red bell pepper

  8. salt and pepper to taste

  9. 30 oz. package frozen shredded hash brown potato es, thawed

  1. In a skillet cook the sausage until browned and then drain well.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cheese, chicken soup, sour cream, French onion dip,chopped onion, bell peppers, salt and pepper.

  3. Fold in thawed hash brown potatoes and mix well.

  4. Spread ½ of the hash brown mixture over bottom of a 9 by 13 greased baking dish.

  5. Spread ½ of the browned sausage over the hash browns.

  6. Repeat layering hash brown mixture and then top with remaining sausage.

  7. Bake at 350 degrees for about one hour or until casserole is golden brown.
