  3. Title: Focaccia, Caramelized Onion

  6. 3/4 c water

  7. 2 olive oil; or veg. oil

  8. 2 c bread flour

  9. 1 sugar

  10. 1 ts salt

  11. 1 1/2 ts bread machine yeast

  12. ONION TOPPING:

  13. 3/4 c shredded mozzarella cheese

  14. 2 grated parmesan cheese

  15. l. Measure carefully, placing all ingredients except Onion topping and cheeses in bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer.

  16. Bake on Dough cycle.

  17. 2. Grease cookie sheet. Pat dough into 12 inch circle on the cookie sheet.

  18. Cover and let rise in warm place about 30 minutes or until double. Prepare

  19. Onion Topping.

  20. 3. Heat oven to 400F. Make deep depressions in dough at 1 inch intervals

  21. with finger or handles of wooden spoon. Spread topping over dough.

  22. Sprinkle with cheeses.

  23. Bake 15-18 minutes or until edge is golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet

  24. to wire rack. Serve warm

  25. ONION TOPPING

  26. 3 Tbs. margarine or butter in

  27. 10 inch skillet over medium low heat.

  28. Add 2 medium onions, sliced and two cloves of chopped garlic. Cook ,

  29. stirring occasionally until onions are brown and caramelized. Remove from

  30. heat, follow above instructions.
