  1. For Shrimp

  2. 2 Large shrimp - (abt 1 lb)

  3. 1/4 lb 113g / 4oz Unsalted butter - plus

  4. 5 tablespoons 75ml Unsalted butter

  5. 1 1/2 teaspoons 7 1/2ml Minced garlic

  6. 1 teaspoon 5ml Worcestershire sauce

  7. 1/4 cup 59ml Beer - at room temperature

  8. For Seasoning Mix

  9. 1 teaspoon 5ml Ground red pepper (preferably cayenne)

  10. 1 teaspoon 5ml Freshly-ground black pepper

  11. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Salt

  12. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Crushed red pepper

  13. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Dried thyme leaves

  14. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Dried rosemary leaves - crushed

  15. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Dried oregano leaves

  1. Rinse the shrimp in cold water and drain well. Peel and devein shrimp. Set aside.

  2. In a small bowl, combine seasoning mix ingredients. Combine 1 stick butter, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and seasoning mix in a large skillet over high heat. When the butter is melted, add the shrimp. Cook for 2 minutes, shaking the pan (don't stir) in a back-and-forth motion.

  3. Add remaining 5 tablespoons butter, cook and shake pan for 2 minutes. Add beer and cook and shake the pan 1 minute longer. Remove from heat. Serve immediately in bowls with lots of French bread on the side or on a platter with cooked rice mounded in the middle and the shrimp and sauce surrounding it.
