  1. 1 cup 62g / 2 1/5oz Flour

  2. 1 1/2 teaspoons 7 1/2ml Baking powder

  3. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Salt

  4. 1 cup 237ml Milk

  5. 2 Eggs - well beaten

  6. 8 Raisin bread

  1. In bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in milk and eggs; beat well.

  2. Cut each bread slice in thirds. Dip strips in batter and fry in 1/2-inch of oil in a large skillet, until golden on both sides. Remove, drain and place in shallow pan in heated oven until all are cooked.

  3. Serve hot.
