  1. 5 quarts popped corn

  2. 2 C. sugar

  3. 1 1/2 C. water

  4. 1/2 tsp. salt

  5. 1/2 C. light corn syrup ( or molasses)

  6. 1 tsp. vinegar

  7. 1 tsp. vanilla

  1. Keep popcorn hot and crisp in a slow 300° oven. Butter sides of saucepan. In it, combine remaining ingredients exept canilla. Cook to hard-ball stage 250°. Add vanilla. Pour slowly ovr hot popped corn, stirring just to mix thoroughly. Butter hands lightly, shape into balls.
