  1. 1 cup sugar , divided

  2. 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  3. 1 8oz. can crushed pineapple

  4. 1/2 pkg cream cheese, softened

  5. 1/2 tsp salt

  6. 2 egg s

  7. 1/2 cup milk

  8. 1/2 tsp vanilla

  9. 1/4 cup chopped pecan s Unbaked

  10. 9 inch pie shell

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Blend ½ cup sugar and cornstarch. Add pineapple. Cook stirring constantly until mixture is think and clear. Blend cream cheese with ½ cup of sugar and salt. Add eggs one at a time, blending well after each egg. Add milk and vanilla and blend well. Spread cooled pineapple mixture over top of unbaked 9 inch pie shell. Pour in cream cheese mixture and sprinkle with pecans. Bake at 425 for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake for 50 minutes. Cool before serving.
