  1. 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar

  2. 1 cup unsweetened powdered cocoa

  3. 1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk

  4. 2/3 cup light corn syrup Pinch salt

  5. 2/3 cup butter

  6. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and cocoa. Slowly stir in evaporated milk until fully incorporated into sugar/cocoa mixture; stir in corn syrup and salt.

  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils; boil and stir 2 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat; add butter and vanilla, stirring until butter is melted.

  4. Serve warm.
