  2. 14 large fresh shrimp -- heads on.

  3. 6 tablespoons cold unsalted butter -- cut in

  4. 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper -- ground

  5. 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper -- cracked

  6. 1 teaspoon Creole seasoning*

  7. 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  8. 1 teaspoon garlic

  9. one lemon -- juice of

  11. 8 ounces salt

  12. 2 ounces garlic powder

  13. 2 ounce black pepper

  14. 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  15. 1 teaspoon thyme

  16. 1 teaspoon oregano

  17. 2 ounces paprika

  18. 1 tablespoon granulated onion

  1. Mix the Creole spice ingredients together and store in sealed container.

  2. Place the shrimp and all the ingredients except lemon juice and 3 oz. of butter in a large sauté pan so that the shrimp are in one layer. Place shrimp in 450F oven for two minutes. Remove and begin to sauté over moderate heat. Add lemon juice and remaining butter by swirling pan and stirring with a fork. Serve in bowl with sauce and lots of bread for dipping. (And lots of napkins!!)
