Ingredients Jump to Instructions ↓

  1. 1 lb ground beef , thawed

  2. 1 egg

  3. 1/3 cup oatmeal

  4. 1 cup chopped onion (about one large onion)

  5. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  6. 1/2 teaspoon chili powder

  7. 1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper (regular pepper will also work)

  8. 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt (regular salt will also work, kosher is what we prefer)

  9. 1/4 cup ketchup

Instructions Jump to Ingredients ↑

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. In medium mixing bowl, break beef into small chunks.

  3. Add egg, oatmeal, onion, spices, and ketchup.

  4. Mix until well blended (you can mix with your hands, but if you prefer not to use that method, a large mixing spoon or rubber spatula will also work just fine).

  5. Smooth mixture into regular sized bread pan.

  6. If you like having a sauce on top, smooth some extra ketchup over the top of the uncooked meatloaf (this step is optional).

  7. Place in oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until meat is cooked all the way through.

  8. Let sit for 5-10 minutes before serving.
