  1. 1/2 cup Granulated sugar

  2. 1/2 cup Packed brown sugar

  3. 1/2 cup Margarine or butter -- softene

  4. 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla

  5. 1 Egg

  6. 1 1/2 cups Quick-cooking oats

  7. 1/2 cup All-purpose flour*

  8. 1/2 cup Ground toasted almonds

  9. 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda

  10. 1/4 teaspoon Baking powder

  11. 1/8 teaspoon Salt

  12. 1/2 cup Sliced almonds

  1. Preparation : * if using self-rising flour Baking soda, baking powder, And salt. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix sugars, margarine, vanilla and egg. Stir in oats, flour, ground almonds, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Stir in sliced almonds. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 10 minutes or until light brown. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet.
